Schneider Scribe: Howdy there strangers!

Hello blogosphere! After an unintended hiatus I am back and ready to begin updating Schneider Scribe once again. Quite a bit has happened since I last posted; I hardly know where to begin! I suppose we will jump right in ...

Much to our delight we discovered that I was pregnant again in April of 2012! After a relatively painless pregnancy (minus the varicosities and kidney stone!), we welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Derek Ronald George Schneider, into the world on December 17. We couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present! He has been a very easygoing, accommodating baby with a head full of wit and hair. In fact, the labor and delivery nurses nicknamed him Elvis because of his gorgeous mane! We already can't imagine our lives without his adorable self! Without further ado we present Derek to you:

The cycle of life came full circle for us in December in that we also had to say goodbye to our beloved Bubba, steadfast canine companion and loyal friend. He had been battling kidney failure for nearly three years and finally lost his valiant fight. Just as his most apt anagram (i.e., Cherub's Resident) proclaims, he will forever be our four-legged guardian angel. We love you always Bubba, our coconut crusher and intrepid guardian.

On a happier note, Olivia started preschool in September 2012 and has loved every minute of it! She has blossomed into a social butterfly who always tries to make everyone happy and hates to see anyone get punished, even if it's Pedro for having peed on her favorite doll! It's hard to believe that she will be turning three years old this September; time sure has flown by. We were able to take Olivia to Disney World last September to celebrate her second birthday where she got to attend the princess lunch at Cinderella's Castle. Lucky for her Snow White was in attendance! Here is a photographic update on Olivette!
