Thanksgiving chez les Schneiders

Happy belated Thanksgiving to all of our family and friends! We hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday filled with blessings and plenty of food.

Our Thanksgiving this year was full of firsts. Not only was this Olivia's first Tofurkey Day, but it was the first time that The Grand Mimi spent the holiday with us in Atlanta and the first Thanksgiving that Rob and I cooked a feast (we have been known in the past to eat at Denny's on this day, but I digress)!

We decided to inaugurate our nuclear family Thanksgiving traditions with precious Olivia's arrival. So we cooked and cooked and cooked! Here are some photos of our delicious meal along with proof that we actually made these items from scratch . . .

Turkey (made by Rob), Gravy and Sweet Potato Casserole

Green Bean Casserole, Mashed Potatoes and Stuffing

Even though Olivia couldn't feast upon the delectable food, she was in a festive mood and thankful to be surrounded by several of her dearest loved ones!

Pedro bonding with The Grand Mimi after dinner ~ he's such a lover boy!

We also took a little Thanksgiving video of Olivette . . .

And we have been eating ever since! Eating interspersed of course with a little bit of shopping on Black Friday and bonding time over movies on Friday night. We had to rush The Grand Mimi to the airport on Saturday night, but not before she was able to help us give Missy a bath! We snapped one of her cutest photos yet during this occasion:

And it wouldn't be a true Schneider Thanksgiving without a football-watching marathon on Thursday and Sunday. Olivia did not let her Daddy down ~ here she is watching football with him and the boys:

So our first Thanksgiving with Olivia was a hit! We are so very thankful for a wonderful holiday spent with our loved ones, and to have been blessed with our most precious gift yet, our daughter!
